(This is not to say I think this is brilliant design or anything, it's just how Auriel works intrinsically. But for that to be true carries need some space to perform damage even when under pressure because they are the team's only healing source. It's not Auriel that keeps Valla alive, it's the carry themselves (of course Auriel herself can also generate energy but I'm talking in general). Unlike other supports that will have their cooldowns no matter what the carry is doing, Auriel relies on her carry to be able to at least throw one of two damaging things on the enemy so Auriel has at least some healing for her team.

Like I mentioned 2 paragraphs ago, crown targets need room to dps even when under pressure.

It's nothing different from Zuljin, Garrosh, old that's the stuff Tychus, Q build Valla, Sonya on a minion wave, Li Li, etc, the idea that enemies are jebaited into thinking they got you but you have something up your sleeve. It's when the enemy team thinks they got you, but with your counter momentum kit you can turn their engage against them. And it's not the "Righteous assault" BS itself. This is what makes Auriel my favorite hero in the game. This (and I could show you a million other different clips) has to stay. Even if my crown target is only allowing me to heal for half of what he previously could, the 2 seconds cooldown allowed for my carry to keep dpsing, kiting and still have a chance to survive (not sacrificing my entire team's healing because my carry is under pressure) while now the carry HAS TO choose between running away (and losing energy generation) or keep kiting (and possibly dying because heals will come 2 seconds too late). People thinking they can dive and one shot my crown friend but I can turn that around on them with good use of Aegis, whip and blind. this is my absolute favorite thing about Auriel. Think of how deceptive heroes like Sonya, Garrosh, Zuljin can be. One of the most fun aspects of the Life Steal mechanic is its intrinsic ability to "jebait" people into thinking they can trade with you or get the killing blow. What makes Auriel fun (speaking for myself ofc) Auriel and her carry would have to work harder for their energy, but the possibility for the counter momentum would still be there. Suggestion (1) is probably the better one.

(3) same issue (if bar stores less energy, full bar means less) + the interactions with Reservoir of Hope for instance could become problematic. It's important to note that from my three suggestions, I see (2) and (3) as problematic: (2) her energy bar would become misleading, players would have to know that after lvl 7 each centimeter on her bar means half the healing before lvl 7. She will not be able to pump out the same amount of healing because she'll either (1) not generate the same amount of energy or (2) not heal for 100% of energy stored or (3) not be able to store as much energy. Then all these suggestions have the potential to solve this exact issue, but differently. Readjusted functionality: now also reduces Bestow Hope's maximum energy stored by 50%.įull energy bars every two seconds is too much healing.Readjusted functionality: Now also reduces the amount of healing done by Ray of Light by 50%.Readjusted functionality: Now also reduces the amount of energy generated by Auriel and Bestow Hope target by 50%.I'll elaborate on this later, these are my suggestions: Still tho the removal of Bursting Light killed a LOT of what Auriel is and what makes her fun.
