Google Talk, also known as Gtalk, is Google's offer to the world of instant messaging, the main advantage of which is the possibility to let the user know if he/she has received new mail in his Gmail account, by means of simple desktop notifications. To improve this popular messaging client's communication capabilities, the developers from GLabs offer the complement Google Voice and Video, a small utility that adds the possibility of free voice and video calls to improve communications with Gmail contacts. How does it work?
Google voice is available for all the operating systems through the Adobe AIR platform through the Google Voice AIR app, the Mac OS X users will be able to use Google voice through an application Voice Mac which includes Google contacts, the address Download the Voice Mac app from here. GoogleVoice gives you a free phone number for calling, text messaging, and voicemail. It works on smartphones and computers, and syncs across your devices so you can use the app while on the go or at home.
Google Voice and Video is very easy to use. Once installed on your computer, all you have to do is access your usual Gmail account and open a chat window to invite any of your Gmail contacts to the conversation.

From the conversation window, just beside the name of the contact, we'll be able to see an icon with the shape of a camera that indicates whether there's an active video connection. Otherwise, if we don't have a webcam, we can choose to start a voice conversation, as long as we have a microphone and some speakers or headphones connected to the computer. Simply download and install the new extension from the Chrome Web Store by following the source link below, and then say “Ok Google” to begin your search — just like you would on an Android device. Check out the demonstration in the GIF below. You can’t use the command from anywhere, though — you have to be looking at a Google search page. And as things stand, the extension is only available to English-speaking users in the U.S.
But it is only a beta right now, so you can expect Google to open it up to other users as time goes.
